This trip takes about 1 1/2 hours from Bolton. Plan to arrive at 1 PM.

This year (2003) Bolton Troop 1 will be camping in Iroquois. (Please refer to the Camp Map - the yellow circle is Iroquois.)

Camp Wanocksett is located on the border between Jaffery and Dublin, New Hampshire.

From the center of Jaffery, follow Rt. 124 West.

Approximately 2 miles outside the center of town turn right on Dublin Rd. Watch for the "Monadnock State Park" sign at the intersection.

Follow Dublin Rd. approximately 3 miles. You will pass the Monadnock Bible Conference, the main entrance to Monadnock State Park and the Gilson Pond entrance to Monadnock State Park.

Camp Wanocksett is just beyond the Gilson Pond park entrance. The camp driveway and parking lot are on the right. Watch for the sign at the fork in the road.

During summer camp visitors are required to check in at the Administration Building at the end of the parking lot. During the off season, please register with the camp ranger across the street from the parking lot.

Food:

If you want lunch on the road, get it in Leominster at any of the 3 mall exits (Rt. 13, Rt. 12, and Merriam Ave). Otherwise, about your only easy stop after that is Taco Bell/KFC in Rindge NH, about 10 minutes outside of Jaffrey. It is directly on Rt. 202 opposite a Walmart at a traffic light, you cannot miss it.
